2016 Scioto County Republican Candidate Winners


DR. TERRY JOHNSON, (Incumbent) State Representative Dr. Terry Johnson from the 90th District was re-elected on Nov 4th.  The 90th House District includes Scioto County and parts of Lawrence and Adams Counties.

Representative Johnson graduated from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1991. Prior to that, he had graduated from Northwest High School and received a bachelor’s degree in history from Ohio University. He retired from the Ohio Army National Guard having achieved the rank of colonel. He most recently served as state surgeon and is a former commander of the National Guard Medical Detachment. A veteran of the Global War on Terror, he has completed three tours of duty.

Aside from having been Scioto County Coroner, Representative Johnson held the position of Director of the Family Practice Residency at Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC). He now works in Portsmouth at the Counseling Center/Compass, where he serves as Medical Director.

Representative Johnson has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for 23 years. They have four children: Jesse, Steve, Tye and Nick.

Bryan K. Davis was elected to the position of Scioto County Commissioner. He was born in Scioto County in 1970. He is married to his wife Lori, and they have 2 children, Hannah & Kylie. They reside in Harrison Township.
